Dr. Tran Duc Khanh
Senior Lecturer in Databases, Machine Learning and Business Analytics, Vietnamese-German University (VGU), Vietnam
Research interests: Applying Big Data and Machine Learning to different use cases such as Vertical Search, Operation Intelligence, Intelligent Transportation Systems; Cyber Security
Dr. Tran Duc Khanh is currently Senior Lecturer in Databases, Machine Learning and Business Analytics at the Vietnamese – German University in Binh Duong, Vietnam. Previously he was Lecturer at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, in Hanoi, Vietnam. He has held administrative positions such as Academic Coordinator, Vice Dean, Head of Research Department, Vice/Acting President at several universities in Vietnam.
Dr. Tran Duc Khanh used to work on Automated Reasoning, which is a sub-field of Artificial Intelligence, during his doctoral study at the Institut National de Recherche en Informatique and Automatique, in Nancy, France and during his postdoctoral research at the Max-Planck-Institute for Informatics in Saarbruecken, Germany. For the last ten years he has been working on applying Big Data and Machine Learning to different use cases such as Vertical Search, Operation Intelligence, Intelligent Transportation Systems. Dr. Tran Duc Khanh’s research interests also include Cyber Security. He was a member of the Feasibility Study of Vietnamese e-Passport Project, and he is currently coordinating the IT Security Master Program at the Vietnamese – German University.
Dr. Tran Duc Khanh aims to contribute to the multidisciplinary PACE-UP coalition with focus on development of the data and digital platform for storage of the research-relevant data, a secure and fast data exchange between participating partners and for the data analysis and machine learning applications.
