Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy is the Rector of the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy (HUMP) and also holds the chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has worked as a consultant in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology and reproductive health for the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Vietnam Country Office of WHO, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and many international non-governmental organizations in the health sector.

Prof. Huy professional areas of interest include evidence-based medicine and medical education, quality assurance in medicine, reproductive health and gynaecological infections, high-risk pregnancies, gynecological oncology and gynaecological endocrinology.

Prof. Huy also serves as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Vietnam Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and an editorial board member for BMC Women’s Health.

In PACE-UP, Prof. Huy will be involved as the focal coordinator for all activities within central Vietnam.
